Ground plan:
As it stands, the church is the only part of the design to be built and consists of a tall sanctuary with Lady Chapel on the north side and baptistery on the south. There are low vestries to the east of these chapels.
The first view of the church from the road is a high wall of weatherboarding erected across the opening where the nave should join the chancel. In front of this is a large open space on which the nave was to be built. The material of the other walls is red brick. The windows are two large lancets in the walls on the sanctuary and there is a small vesica piscis above the chapels on each side of the chancel. The windowless east wall has a cross on the outside formed in the brickwork. The Lady Chapel has four rectangular windows in the north wall, and the door of the church leads into a small porch at the west end of the chapel.
Inside the walls are painted cream and blue. The high altar and the altar in the Lady Chapel are both faced with Hopton Wood stone from Derbyshire incised with a latin cross. The reredos behind the High Altar is a large panel of flock material. Above this the roof is coffered. The baptistery to the south is not used, except as a store. A fine Chippendale chair stands in the sanctuary. There are three sedilia and a piscina in the south wall.
