Interior Description
St. Philip's is the last church to be designed and built by the renowned architect Sir Ninian Comper.
It departs from Comper's earlier work by having white painted walls but retains the classic Comper features of a guilded ciborium, font and organ. Comper's intention being to draw attention to the altar and ciborium whilst not providing other background distractions.
The Harrison & Harrison organ is also listed in it's own right and was the first organ to be listed in Portsmouth.
