St. Swithin's Church is grade II listed and consists of nave, chancel, north and south transepts with a bell turret and open belfry.

This parish church dates from 1871 and was designed by architect W. J. Stratton built to the north of the previous 13th Century church near Thorley Manor.
Externally the walling is of rubble stone with a slate dpc at low level well above outside ground level.
The internal walls are of exposed yellow brickwork with red detailing and are in good order. There is a timber pulpit and lectern, stone font and wooden altar all in good condition, as are the wooden pews and upholstered chairs. Plaques and drapes are in good condition, as is the organ which is regularly maintained.
