The Church is dated 1880 and is of a simplified Gothic design set in a large Churchyard. The structure consists of a four bay nave with north and south aisles plus a lower chancel with its own aisles to north and south containing vestries and organ respectively. There is no tower but there is a bellcote at the west end of the nave containing two bells. There is a stone and slate gabled porch attached to the western most bay of the northern aisle. The Church is built of squared local rubble stone under a Westmorland slate roof. The windows have simple stone plate tracery of an ‘Early English’ style, and the glazing is a mix of stained and plain leaded lights.
