Chancel
The North arcade and aisle are original 15th Century (like the tower) with brick parapet and buttresses. Originally, there were wide depression arches over the South aisle and chancel arch, with the screen going across the chancel and north aisle. The chancel had a flattish roof and was full of monuments.

Sanctuary
Unknown - probably 20th Century Canon Clarke calls it 'most elaborate'. The East end is painted with angels in memory of Charlton George Lane by Earl Brownlow, with steps of different coloured marbles also in his memory by his widow and children. The reredos are alabaster and mosaic with painted panelling at the sides and stained glass. Containing the more recent North vestry. J. Brandon Jones was the architect.

17th-19th Century South chapel: Elizabeth Countess Brackley 1669 with inscription on a curtain with 'scroll writing master's script' lettering (Pevsner) in 'elegant italic'; John Egerton, Earl of Bridgewater, 1700, with swags and a skull at the bottom, weeping putti and arms on the top; Henry Stanley 1720, two putti holding the inscription; Francis Duke & Earl of Bridgewater, 1803; John William 7th Earl, 1723 and Charlotte Anne, Countess, 1840 circular relief by Westmacott depicting a labourer, his wife and child, dog and ears of wheat; Francis Egerton, Earl of Bridgewater, 1820 (who left £8000 as a reward to literary men, for writing essays to prove the benevolence of God as displayed in the works of the creation.) Relief of a female holding a book inscribed Works on the Creation with elephant, dolphin, bird and tree.
