The building was constructed in 1833 to a design by Edmund Pearce on a new site replacing an earlier church to the north of the village. The building is simple comprising a nave and a small chancel, a tower at the west end of the nave and a north porch. There is a gallery at the west end of the nave with a vestry constructed beneath it at it's southern end. The tower houses a single bell rung from ground level. The roof is formed by cemented sheets on a steel frame with a suspended ceiling beneath. The church building itself is grade II listed and the gate piers to the churchyard entrance are also separately grade II listed.
