A simple cruciform building with a low pitched roof, the only vertical emphasis provided by a slim spirelet at the junction of chancel and nave. The nave is well-lit by tall rectangular metal-framed two-light windows in stone surrounds, four in each side wall, and by a large five-light above the west porch. There is a large seven-light window in the south wall of the north transept, while the north transept is blind, housing as it does the large organ against the north wall. The chancel east wall has a series of smaller windows, alternately one and two-lights.
The interior is light and spacious as is normal with churches of this type and period, the nave filled with ranks of benches, the high altar situated under the crossing. There is a Lady chapel in the south transept.
