Flint-faced exterior walls. They style is Decorated with large east and west windows of three tall lights and traceried heads; the tower adjoins the nave, and is capped by a shingled broach spire. The west front faces the village street. Excluding the tower, the nave north and south flanks are identical - buttresses alternating with windows, the latter consisting each of two trefoiled-lights with an elongated quatrefoil in the head. No aisles, and long steep roof — pitches covered with tiles, are the other main features of the building. The tower is again the porch.

Evidently there was an earlier church here, but no trace of its survives in the fabric of the building itself, and the church was built again from new by Wyatt and Brandon in 1844.

Inside, the scale seems daunting and the human figure crushed. The roof itself is fomed of straight rafters, and a series of massive tie-beams with king-posts and curved struts which brace against the rafters and come down one on either side of the king-post.
