Settle is a small market town in the Craven district of North Yorkshire. Much of Settle is designated as a conservation area, and many of the buildings are Grade II listed. Consecrated in 1838, designed by Thomas Rickman, the church is Grade II Listed, built in the lancet style common at that time. It is stone built with pitched slate roofs and some later single storey extensions.

. It has a wide 5 bay Nave with a feeling of spaciousness and a 2 bay Chancel with projecting rectangular Apse. The Apse is lined in alabaster with matching reredos. There is an alabaster pulpit with surround on trefoil headed arches and an alabaster font raised on 4 pillars with crocket capitals, both 1867. A mid Victorian wrought iron screen encloses the chancel. In the west nave wall there is a stained glass window which is in the style of the Arts and Crafts Movement.
