Built of square and coursed stone, and roofed with red clay tiles. The exterior elevations are uneventful. The side walls are articulated by stepped buttresses, between which are three-light pointed windows with quatrefoil heads. On the west wall the three stepped two-light windows are separated by buttresses which appear to rest on the roof of the west porch; a most unusual arrangement.
Building is open for worship
Ground plan:
Nave with north-west and south-west porches and a small baptistry at the west. end. There is a small fleche at the east end of the roof-ridge.
The church was built it 1899 to the designs of C. Hodgson Fowler and H.L. Smethurst.

On the west wall the three stepped two-light windows are separated by buttresses which appear to rest on the roof of the west porch; a most unusual arrangement. The east wall is rather more dignified, with a large five-light window high up in the wall. The roofline of the building is only broken by the timber fleche with its.tall shingled pyramidal roof.
The barn-like interior of the building has whitckied walls, and a boarded roof with an elaborate truss of wood and iron. A chancel is contrived within the single-cell ground plan by building up the wall of the north-eastern vestry to produce. a narrow eastward projection of the nave. The whole of the east wall of this projection, beneath the large window, is covered by a panelled wooden. reredos which provides a strong focus of attention.
Font (object)
1923

Stall
Solid unpretentious choir stalle, excellent work of their kind.
Pulpit
Rather out of keeping with the rest of the fittings in the church, the solid octagonal wooden pulpit has traceried Perpendicular panelling..
