Interior
Interior Description
The interior was chiefly distinguished by its great height and the disproportionate length of the nave in relation to the short chancel. The pointed arches of the six-bay nave arcade were of red brick and are supported by octagonal stone piers with plain capitals. In 1925 the walls of the two bay chancel and the sanctuary were whitened and the furnishings altered to the designs of W.H. Randoll Blacking. Presumably at the same time the arches leading to the north chapel were filled in with partitions of wood and glass. The nave was limewashed in 1953.
