As the only public building the church is very important to the village, historically as a place of worship and latterly also for use in a social setting. The church building has historical significance from 13th to 16th century. The tower is 14th century and the bells 16th and 17th century. Fixtures include an impressive Norman font which may be 12th century and a 19th century timber pulpit inset with late 16th century Flemish relief panels.
