St Laudus is a 15 century church in an isolated position about a mile to the south of the village of Mabe Burnthouse. It had a major fire in Victorian times and part of the north side of the building was rebuilt as a result.

The church is built mainly of rough granite quarried locally. It had a major fire in Victorian times and part of the north side of the building was rebuilt as a result.
The tower contains a ring of six bells.
The interior contains pews in a main aisle with a lady chapel aisle to the south side and an aisle to the north.
A kitchen area fills the north western end of the north aisle and the organ and vestry fill the north eastern end, leaving space for half a dozen pews in between.
The font occupies a space to the left on entering (the door is on the south side of the building) There is a pulpit on the north side of the chancel, where there are choir pews.
The main altar is of wood. There is a reredos of mixed stone containing fragments of old carvings found locally in the last century.
