Warleggan is a tiny hamlet in one of the smallest of the Cornish parishes where St.Bartholomew's , a small granite moorland church , has been a place of Christian worship at least since the thirteenth century.
Building is open for worship
Footprint of Church buildings: 203 m²
The church yard is circular which is unusual and may indicate an ancient burial site , especially on a hill top as in Warleggan.
Originally the church had a spire which fell in 1818. The tower is of two stages with a stair turret and no buttresses..... The date of the aisle is fifteenth century.... The North side is considerably older with the usual N transept of the Norman and E.E. styles in Cornwall....one 13th century lancet remains.... the Royal Arms of 1664 ( but still with the Jacobean strapwork) deserve mention.

Warleggan, for a small church, has an unusually high quality organ , a parish war memorial built by Heards of Truro in 1920 and this was completely refurbished in 2012-13.
