The church is a large structure comprising a four bay nave, north and south aisles, chancel, organ bay, vestry, boiler room and south entrance porch. The building is of traditional construction comprising a superstructure of knapped flint external walls with dressed stone quoins and other facing stones. Architecturally, the church building is fundamentally Norman with Perpendicular additions but much of the interior and the whole of the exterior were restored in 1866 by Benjamin Ferrey.
