Faced with redbrick, with Bath stone dressings, the church looks solidly plain. The aisles, articulated by set-off buttresses, have four three-light windows and one two-light window at the eastern end on each side. The five windows have different style tracery in the head, based on designs of cusps. Above the aisles in the clerestory are ten two-light windows on each side. They too have different kinds of tracery in the window heads. The west window has five lights: balanced on the point of the centre light is a circle containing a -six-lobed flower with a cusped centre, each lobe having a trefoil cusped head. Each pair of lights flanking the central light has a steepy pointed head containing cusping and, between each light of the pair, a cusped mouchette.
Building is open for worship
Ground plan:
Aisled nave, with a low gabled baptistry extension at the west; chancel; south chapel and south vestry; north organ chamber and a spirelet over the junction between nave and chancel.
1890-1, by J.F.K. & J.P. Cutts. It was built by J. Butt & Sons of Southampton.

The east window is also quite intricate with a design of cusped circles. Again there are five lights, with a larger and taller central one, above which is a circle containing four cusped circles. Over the side lights are sexfoils within circles. This east end is supported by angled gable buttresses. Below the west window is a projection consisting of the baptisty, extending outwards into a gabled front with a three light window, and a north and south porch. Apparently, the north entrance was for the rich and the south entrance for the poor, who lived mainly on the south side of the church. At the joint between nave and chancel is a small stone belfry. .Over the double opening in each face, divided into four by a transom, there is a crocketed gable. A slim spire-let rises from the gables and culminates in a metal cross.
Stained Glass
The east window is the finest in the church. It depicts Christ on the Cross, with the thieves on their crosses either side of Him. Below Him is a crowd of people, through which a Roman horseman is sweeping. Behind the figures can be seen the rootaof Jerusalem, silouotted against a multi-coloured sky, where the Heavenly Host are hovering
Stained Glass
In the south chapel is a three light window containing St. Barnabas, St. Paul and St. Mark arriving at Cyprus on the first missionary journey.
Stained Glass
In the north aisle is a portrayal of the Empty Tomb in two lights
Stained Glass
In the Baptistry is a three-light memorial window of Christ and the little children.
Stained Glass
The south windows from east to west contain: 1) The annunciation, which is rather Pre-Raphaelite in expression. 2) Christ in the Temple 3) who The Baptism of Christ - this has good colouring. Both John and Christ, who has beautiful purple-blue flags behimd him have strong and proud features 4) Christ delivering the Sermon on the Mount - this glass would seem to have been inserted in the 1920's. 5) The Mission of the apostles.
Inside the church the proportions are pleasantly harmoniousand the lofty roof looks sturdy. The plainness of the exterior is nevertheless reflected inside, where the walls are also faced with brick. The five bays of the nave are supported on quadripartite columns of stone with plain moulded capitals. Immediately striking is the east stained glass window.
Altar
The altar is a plain oak table.
Reredos
Behind and above the altar is a panelled oak reredos with a shallow canopy.
Altar
In the Lady Chapel is a carved wooden altar of three panels, containing lilies, corn and grapes, and flowers with berries. It is the work of a local craftsman
Screen
1910
The chancel screen is a good piece of wrought-iron work. It is a memorial designed by A.I. Gutterddge in 1910 (whose own memorial is a wooden screen between the chancel and the south chapel). The screen has seven open panels; three each side of the gated main opening, which rises high above.the rest of the screen to end in a cross.
Pulpit
The pulpit is small, but quite ornate, of Caen stone with marble shafts.
Lectern
The Lectern is of brass, plain and with a double desk.
Font (object)
The font, in the baptistry at the west end of the church, is a large six-sided piece made of alabaster and Devonshire marble.
Stall
The choir stalls have some pleasing openwork carving in the backs.
Pew (object)
Oak.
Organ (object)
1897
The organ was built by Ginn of London in 1897. It was enlarged by Nicholsons in 1913 and rebuilt by Willis in 1955.
