The tower was rebuilt above the ground stage in 1802, and is strengthened with buttresses of 1874.
The nave has north and south arcades of three bays, with two centred-arches of two orders. The western columns and circular with fine moulding on the capitals, bases and responds.
The Chancel is large due to a 19th century reconstruction. The much-altered Chancel arch shill contains some mediaeval stonework, and in the south wall are two early round-headed windows, which have been rest. The outer will carries carved heads, and other old masonry can be picked out. The windows are thought to be of the same date as the Lady Chapel at York Minster. Notice the 14th century sedilia, or stone seats, and the old piscine or wash-bowl, both restored. Earl Feversham in1907 donated stained glass in the east window. The fine chancel screen by Temple Moore is a memorial to the fallen in the First World War.
The Lady Chapel centres around the fine Jacobean reredos, given by Vicar H.E. Wilson, its panel’s reputedly mediaeval, recording biblical stories in fine carving.
