The church is designed in the Early English style, with some idiosyncratic features. The shouldered and gabled bellcote to the west elevation takes advantage of the ridge location to provide some vertical emphasis. There are iron cross finials to each gable, and a dentillated eaves board all round, painted blue as are the original rainwater goods.
The west window is a 3-light with stepped lancets and an oculus in the gable, the nave has pointed 2-light windows to each bay with plate tracery under relieving arches, the exception being the west bay of the south wall which has a tall narrow lancet with iron Y-tracery. East of this is the gabled and coped south porch with cusping to the outer arch and short pointed lancets to the side walls. Lower chancel with two lancets with labels, east window is a 3-light pointed window with plate tracery and an unusual cusped hoodmould. The lean-to vestry has a square 2-light to the north wall and a pointed doorway to the east.
