The ancient church of St. Martin's, Barholme with Stowe, a grade I listed building. This Saxon church has been rebuilt over the centuries.

This Saxon church has been rebuilt over the centuries, a blocked Saxon doorway and the font survive.
The Norman doorway arch and interior arcading are well preserved. The tower, built on Saxon foundations in 1648, bears the inscription,"was ever such a thing/ since the creation/ a new steeple built in/ the time of vexation." The belfry stage was added by Rev'd William Turner 1855, he is responsible for much refurbishment.
