With some evidence of Saxon and Norman remains, and elements of 13th century stonework, the Nave and double Chancel are from the late 14th and early 15th centuries. This includes the octagonal stone font, the 15th century Nave Roof and a very fine oak tracery Chancel screen with the original pre-reformation stone spiral rood staircase. In the North Chancel there is the Daubeney monument: a splendid tomb-chest with figures of a knight and his lady in alabaster carefully restored in 1994. It is a beautiful example of the period and dates back to the 14th century when it was brought from the D’Aubigny family chapel at Ingleby and placed in this North Chancel, which was built in fine ashlar masonry and believed to be their new family chantry chapel. The Victorians added oak pews to the Nave and North Aisle, with choir stalls in the South Chancel and a very fine two manual and pedal organ. The Tower was re-built in 1908 with materials from the previous tower.
The whole building is in stonework, with a fine copper roof on the Nave, stainless steel on the two Chancels, slate on the North Aisle and lead on the tower.
