Overview
Grid reference: TF 439 932
Poignant in its isolation, with a few trees as its sole companions, the external appearance of the church is now almost wholly Perpendicular. The tower is rather broad and squat, of two stages defined by a string-course, and has a battlemented parapet; the bell-openings are tall, with pairs of graceful trefoil-headed open lights and traceried heads, and beneath them are smaller-scaled openings of similar character (that on the east cut into by the present height of the nave roof).

Description of Archaeology and History
Some part of the fabric survives of the 12th century church, the external appearance is largely Perpendicular and there are also some survivals from the Early English and Decorated periods.
Exterior Description
Poignant in its isolation, with a few trees as its sole companions, the external appearance of the church is now almost wholly Perpendicular. The tower is rather broad and squat, of two stages defined by a string-course, and has a battlemented parapet; the bell-openings are tall, with pairs of graceful trefoil-headed open lights and traceried heads, and beneath them are smaller-scaled openings of similar character (that on the east cut into by the present height of the nave roof). The clerestorey and three south aisle windows are all Perpendicular and of three lights, the former having triangular hood-moulds. The chancel east window is also Perpendicular, of five lights, with a rather crude transom across the panel tracery at the top.
Interior
Interior Description
The south doorway of the nave is Early English, the hood-mould with dog-tooth ornament, and the four-bay nave arcades are also of the same period — the piers on the north side have very plainly moulded capitals and those on the south have stiff-leaf capitals and were later heightened by the insertion of 14th century plinths. The chancel arch, with roll mouldings, is Early English. The architectural history of the chancel, which is considerably narrower than the nave, is not entirely clear but sufficient traces survive to suggest that it formerly had north and south chapels.
