Looking east wards, through the two rows of box-pews, the eye catches a red Laudian frontal which makes a perfect foil to the white in plastered walls and gray-brown unvarnished woodwork The roof ribs and carved bosses over the sanctuary give it exactly the right degree of dignity and emphasis .
