Embattled chancel, aisleless nave with north porch converted into a vestry, west tower. The west tower faces the road and it is (like the chancel) embattled, and of two square stages on a moulded plinth, with angle buttresses and an ogival-headed west door and a west window above. The tower is of fine ashlar and its Perpendicular character sets the tone for what is now the principal exterior style of the church, though clearly much of the fabric is earlier than the 15th or early 16th centuries.
Building is closed for worship
The early original date of the nave can be seen from inside the north porch or vestry; where the Norman north doorway has a single order of shafts with scalloped capitals. Above one of the north windows of the nave is a 13th century carved head.

The interior of St. George's features richness and character. In the late 18th or early 19th century the nave and chancel ceilings were both plastered and it is fortunate in its furnishings and overall atmosphere.
