Built in 1878 to designs by an unknown architect as a Methodist Chapel. In 1956 it was taken over by the Church of England to replace the mediaeval church of St. Bartholomew destroyed in 1942. At this time the east end was rebuilt and extended and the west porch was added and the belfry capped with a spirelet.

Four-bay nave with west porch, apsidal sanctuary with vestries beyond. (The church is orientated so that the altar is at the west end).
