Building
Ground Plan Description and Dimensions
Ground plan:
Nave, with bellcote and south porch; and chancel with a small vestry to the north.
Exterior Description
It is a small straightforward building with rather small windows in a late 13th century style: on the north side of the nave are three pairs of two-light windows, each light having an elongated head, and at the west end is a further single light; the arrangementof the south side is similar, except for the interruptionof the porch, and the window in the west wall is slightly larger and of two main trefoil-headed lights, with a quatrefoil in the head. Above is the bellcote containing a single bell (John Warner and Sons, London 1858). The vestry has a quirky chimney of diverting design, with quatrefoil openings for the smoke capped by a toppiece of miniature intersectinggables. Otherwise the building is devoid of originality. The facing stone is arranged crazy-paving fashion and the roof covering is of slates.
