A typically well built C19th church of coursed, hammer dressed red sandstone walling with tooled red sandstone quoins, window dressings, copings, etc. The paired lancet windows to the north and south elevations of the Nave have relieving arches used as a decorative feature. The roof is of slate with alternating bands of plain and diamond pattern courses. A small single bell-cote with decorative iron cross surmounts the west gable wall. In plan the church comprises Nave with small Sanctuary with Vestry and former fuel store to the north east and Porch to the south west. Internally the roof timbers are exposed under a very steep pitched roof. The Sanctuary is narrow and high also with exposed roof timbers.
