All Saints, Clapton, consists of a long five-bay nave with tall clerestorey, north and south aisles, and a chancel with north and south chapels (that on the south accommodates the organ). A tower seems to have been intended, but was never built. Externally the church is of Kentish rag and the principal impression is of low aisles and tall clerestorey windows of a French rather than an English type.

The west window, by Mayer, provides colour where it is needed while the east window, though now more of a curiosity than a design on account of the oxidisation of the surface of the glass.

Interior Description
The interior walls are of red and black brick, with areades, piers and pilasters of Bath stone; the coved and panelied ceiling, which gives dramatic emphasis to the height of the nave, is one of the most powerful and original features of the design.
