Beswick: The Ressurection
Overview
Grid reference: SJ 867 982
There have been two previous churches on adjacent sites. The first was demolished in 1974 and replaced by another which was itself demolished in 1990. The current building was the church hall to the later church and has been adapted for worship. The Resurrection is a low rise, single storey brick building. Some interest is created by the roof structures; there are two parallel angular half-hipped roofs joined by a lower lean-to roof in the valley created between them.

Description of Archaeology and History
There have been two previous churches on adjacent sites. The first was demolished in 1974 and replaced by another which was itself demolished in 1990.
Exterior Description
(The building is not liturgically orientated). The Resurrection is a low rise, single storey brick building. Some interest is created by the roof structures; there are two parallel angular half-hipped roofs joined by a lower lean-to roof in the valley created between them. Both the angular roofs have simple rectangular windows in their west faces creating a clearstorey effect.
The entrance porch at the south end has a separate pitched roof and a decorated fibreglass door which was taken from the previous church. The main east front of the church consists of the sloping roof and rectangular domestic windows as well as a doorway protected by iron bars. The rectory adjoins the building to the north and is set back to allow for a small front garden. There is a small courtyard to the north west of the church.
