The church is constructed in the Decorated style. Architecturally, the unbuttressed tower and spire are the most significant features. The recessed stone spire is short, with only one tier of lucarnes. The south porch, slate roofs (unusual in this part of the country) and lean-to vestry on the north side of the chancel appear to have been 19th century additions.

In 1866 a restoration was carried out which included the renewal of roofs and most of the window tracery.
The church is constructed in the Decorated style. Architecturally, the unbuttressed tower and spire are the most significant features. The recessed stone spire is short, with only one tier of lucarnes. The south porch, slate roofs (unusual in this part of the country) and lean-to vestry on the north side of the chancel appear to have been 19th century additions. Also on the north side of the chancel is a tall Decorated window of two lights with a quatrefoil in the head. The east window is of three main lights with a traceried head.
