Ground Plan Description and Dimensions
Ground plan:
Short chancel with 19th century north vestry, long aisleless nave with 19th century south porch and a square early 16th century brick west tower.
Description of Archaeology and History
Nave and chancel are basically 12th century, with later windows inserted, the nave having a fine 12th century south doorway with engaged shafts and a chevron patterned arch.
Exterior Description
On one of the south-west quoins of the nave is an early scratch dial.
Roof coverings are of slate.
Interior
Interior Description
The interior of the nave and chancel is very pleasing and well proportioned, with bare uncluttered walls and original roof structures of high quality: both nave and chancel roofs are of arch-braced collar construction, with arch-braced wall posts and a good cornice with pierced tracery band. On the collar of principal immediately west of the chancel arch is a wooden pulley with two wheels intact, possibly to serve both rowell light and veil.
