A simple Lazonby sandstone structure of 1913, but decoratively treated by architect JH Martindale of Carlisle, a well established local church architect and distinguished antiquarian. He was also chief assistant to CJ Ferguson, the pre-eminent Cumbrian church architect of his time. Attractive stone, decorative woodwork (especially in the roof) and unique opera box stone pulpit attached to the north wall.
