Savile Town St Mary was built in 1898-9 in brick faced with stone. The nave was intended to be longer and the west end is bricked up in readiness for an extension which has never been carried out.

The church consists of a broad nave and chancel under a continuous roof, north and south aisles, south chancel chapel and vestries on the north.
Description of Archaeology and History
Savile Town St Mary was built in 1898-9 in brick faced with stone. The nave was intended to be longer and the west end is bricked up in readiness for an extension which has never been carried out. A tower at the south-west end of the nave was carried up to eaves level, but also left incomplete.
Exterior Description
Built of brick and faced with stone. Broad nave and chancel under continuous roof, with north and south aisles. The most significant feature is perhaps the east window, which has impressive stone tracery.
