Ground Plan Description and Dimensions
Ground plan:
Nave with aisles, small transepts and chancel. There is a western vestibule and a fleche at the west end of the nave roof-ridge.
Exterior Description
A large church of brown stock brick relieved with red, in a simple lancet style. The pitched roofs have coverings of tiles. The exterior is extremely plain. On the west or entrance front, the vestibule runs across the full width of the wall between heavy stepped buttresses. Above the vestibule two tall lancets and a roundel are recessed under a pointed arched surround flanked by two smaller lancets. The aisle and clerestory walls are both divided into five bays; the aisles by small buttresses, the clerestory walls by brick pilaster strips. In each of the aisle bays are two lancet windows; in the three central bays of the clerestory three lights, and in the outer bays one light only. The small transepts, which open from the chancel, have two narrow lancets and a roundel in their gable wall. The main east window is of five lancet lights set under a pointed brick relieving arch.

Stained Glass
19th Century
By Clayton & Bell, installed in 1925. It Came from' St. Mary's, Vincent Square, Westminster, and was given in 1866/96 by Sir. ames Knowles in memory of his wife. The small panels, depicting various saints and biblical scenes, are rich in colour and of fine quality.
Interior
Interior Description
Inside the brickwork has been left unwhitened. The nave is of five bays with pillars of red brick and bases, capitals and springers all of stone. The clerestory is continuously arcaded with thin wall shafts marking the division of the bays. The chancel arch is wide. On the north side a tall arch gives access to the organ chamber, while on the south side the vestry is reached through two smaller arches. The sanctuary is only one bay deep with a tall lancet window on each side. In the east wall, under the window is a triple arcaded reredos of brick with painted panels inset. The chancel has a curved boarded roof.

Of stone, a 12-sided bowl on a hexagonal shaft. The text, "Suffer little children ..." is carved round the outside of the bowl.

1927
At the east end of each aisle is an oval wooden board commemorating the transfer of the stained glass from St. Mary's, Westminster in 1927. The wooden frames of these panels have heavy decorative carving and may be of late 17th century date.
