The principal feature of All Saints Church is the use of Lakeland slate walling laid water shot and tail bedded in narrow courses between dressed red sandstone quoins, window surrounds, copings and weathering. Built in 1881-84 by C.J. Ferguson the church has a single width nave, chancel and low tower with conical slate spire. The roof line steps down above the chancel arch and the roof step effect is continued with the projecting tower stair. There is a projecting porch to the north side and projecting vestry to the south of the chancel. Internally the nave is spanned by an elegant and light weight braced collar tie roof with exposed low level ties and exposed close spaced rafters. The ground floor of the tower has been re-modelled to provide toilets, a kitchen and a meeting space. Internal window and arch openings are framed with tooled red sandstone quoins and voussoirs in a rather self-conscious manner and with the slate walling stone exposed in the window reveals. A rather curious device. There are a number of memorial wall plaques.
