Petite, yet dignified Neo-Norman; the geometry of the apse on such a small scale diminishing slate roof to an apex, concave cornice, half-round string course and chamfered plinth challenging the builder but emerging with credit. Inside, there is little space for architectural adornment, so decoration must suffice. The modest highlight is the apse: a panorama frieze vibrant in ultramarine, setting off doves, St Peters keys and various other symbols of Christian significance. It seems entirely natural that in such a humble setting the font and kettle share the same corner.
