Whilst this church replaces an earlier chapel (of which several relics have been incorporated), it, too, is very much a chapel in character but by no means diminished by this; quite the contrary. Can it be the Blackwell connection somehow influenced more than worship for the girls from the school? The interior is simple but neatly executed and well proportioned. Dressed stone window reveals set within whitewashed walls under an oak-boarded roof allow craftsmanship rather than style to set the theme. The pews, though not bespoke, could, in their simple flowing Arts & Crafts curves, have been so. Even the lozenge and squared leadwork in the clear-glazed windows is finer than most, complementing the Holiday east window.
