A delightful rugged 1840s mini Lakeland church, with 1884 and 1933 additions. It occupies an attractive location in a magnificent landscape setting and, with its unique Wainwright plaque, embodies the essence of Lakeland for many visitors. It is also located at a busy vehicular and walkers cross-roads which is capable of delivering many visitors in the lengthening tourist season the Lake District now experiences.
