Built in 1856 Christ Church is of simple plan comprising Nave, Chancel and Sanctuary with a small vestry and an organ chamber to the north side of the Chancel and a porch to the south west end of the Nave. Walls are of rock faced random coursed buff/grey sandstone with tooled quoins, window surrounds and copings. There is a single bell-cote above the west end gable wall. Windows are simple lancets with hood mouldings and label stops. The roof has recently been re-slated with reclaimed Burlington slate in random and diminishing courses. Internally the roof structure is exposed with steeply pitched braced collar tie trusses, purlins and rafters all exposed.
