West Molesey is relatively small and largely made up of post war properties. Due to its great age and history St Peter's is a prominent and important part of the landscape. The tower is the oldest part of the church having once been a watchtower in 1440. The church was rebuilt in 1843 and enlarged in 1859 with the addition of the north aisle.
