St Mary's Church dates back to approximately 1310. Doubled in size during the Victorian era, the building stands in the northern part of a large 'closed' churchyard, where recorded burials date back to 1702.

The church is a Grade 1 listed building, construction having been completed during the reign of King Edward II.
St Mary's Church dates back to approximately 1310. Doubled in size during the Victorian era, the building stands in the northern part of a large 'closed' churchyard, where recorded burials date back to 1702.
The building was extended in 2000, with the addition of a prayer room and new boiler room.
The main parts of the church are occupied by fixed oak pews, and there is a brass attached to the chancel wall of Thomas Teylar, a 15th -century Rector.
Most of the windows contain stained glass, and music is provided by an electronic organ.
