19th Century The church was rebuilt and enlarged at a cost of £1250 (£500 raised by a loan on the church rate; £300 from Sir P. Acland: the residue from the Rt: Hon: Henry Labouchere, M.P., and others). Consecrated 10 Sept: 1857 and executed by architects Carver and Giles of Taunton and builder William Shewbrooks of Taunton.
