At the turn of 20th century, the pews were removed and replaced with chairs, creating a flexible space. In 1992 a kitchen was installed, plus a toilet with disabled access at the base of the tower, which allowed for more community use of the building.
In 2000 the old, wall mounted gas heaters were removed, and a new warm air heating system installed, which proved more efficient and effective.
