Archaeology
Observation of removal of 19th century floor tiles at west end of south aisle in 1996 for relaying showed that they lay on a sandy rubble levelling deposit 0.25m thick over sandy loam at least 0.50m thick which contained many fragments of bone and represents part of the former graveyard over which the church was extended in the 19th century.
