St. Mary Magdalene, Albrighton was founded in the 12th Century. The village is mentioned in the Domesday book and the current parish is semi-rural. The parish is sandwiched between neighbouring parishes forming a United Benefice. St. Mary Magdalene functions as the lead church in the Benefice and is of some historical interest with the Tower (the oldest part of the building) dated as Norman (c.1100 – 1200.
