An earthquake in 1990 damaged the spire and cracked stonework and glass. The spire was repaired in 1992 and the glass within the last five years. In 1995 the church was re-ordered to provide a kitchen, vestry and accessible W.C. at the west end of the north aisle.
The walls are in good condition and most of the open joints noted in the last QI report have been pointed. There are some joints which still need to be pointed or which have opened up since the work was carried out, particularly in the plinth.
