There have been several churches on this site; the first was founded in 1155. The present church was built in 1856 following the demolition of the previous building in 1854 due to it falling into a bad state of repair. The centre window of the east wall is a reputed to have been used in the original building.

The centre window of the east wall is a reputed to have been used in the original building.
Accessible by the south door Holy Trinity churchs contains approximately ten pews either side of the nave and a further ten in the south aisle, where the font also remains at the back.
The chancel and sanctuary are raised by a couple of steps leading into the open 'vestry' area screened from the south aisle by a curtain & wooden screen.
