Archaeology
Cross shaft suggested to be possibly pre-Conquest (unlikely). Formerly cruck cottage by south-east corner of churchyard, demolished in 1907. Observation of soakaway trench in southeast corner of churchyard in 1999 revealed demolition spread of this building.
Earthworks of deserted settlement in field to east, irregular platforms. Cropmarks of prehistoric enclosure and ring ditches between Egghill Lane and Holly Hill Road. Geophysical survey (gradiometer) to east and north of churchyard in 2001 revealed a probable ditch and pits.
