The building material is London stock brick with bands of red brick and dressings of Bath stone. The exterior brickwork has darkened considerably and is now almost black. The roofs are tiled apart from that of the spire which is of brick. The lower section of the tower is plain, apart from some simple brick patterning, then comes a section of blind arcading and at the level of the bell chamber there is a single trefoiled light in each face. The west wall of the church is flat apart from the shallow gabled brick porch in the centre of the facade.

Above the porch is the large central window, a double lancet and rose in plate tracery, flanked by two shorter lancets. The north elevation of the church is of the conventional pattern, having a clerestory with two trefoiled windows in each bay and lean-to aisles which have triple trefoiled windows under a square head—moulding. In the westernmost bay of the aisle is an entrance door with a very steeply gabled surround which rises above the level of the roof guttering. On the south side of the church the two western bays of the aisle are deeper than the rest and have their own gable roofs. In the gable-wall of each is a triplet of lancets with a wide pointed arch hood-mould. The later chancel is slightly lower than the nave but of the same width. It has a clerestory of quatrefoil windows and a five-light east window.
Stained Glass
The glass in the east window is the work of Jones and Willis.
The nave is of five bays in all but the three central bays are wider and taller than the others. The arcades rest on stone columns with square abaci and stiff-leaf capitals; the roof above has tie-beams and collars, both of which are braced. The south aisle curves inwards after the first two bays necessitating a complex timber roof structure which is pierced by two dormer windows.
Font (object)
Octagonal stone font on an octagonal moulded base.
Pulpit
Octagonal wooden pulpit with traceried panels standing on four timber feet.
Reredos
The dado of the sanctuary and the whole of the east wall below the window is covered with brown and gold stencil decoration. Over the altar is a figure of Our Lord flanked by two Apostles.
