History
Fire 19th century followed by restoration 1887. Not clear how extensive the 19th century rebuilding was.
Archaeology
Remains of a Norman church discovered on removal of the north wall of the chancel near west end during 1872 restoration, and fragments of arch found which must have connected with the transept.
