The church lies in a beautiful rural area off Ashworth Road, close to the Ashworth Valley a nature reserve. The main building is formed with traditional load-bearing hammer dressed, coursed, watershot stone construction with a saddleback pitched roof and stone slate covering. There are ashlar quoins and square cut jambs with semi-circular arches to doors and window surrounds. Cills and key stones exhibit masons tooling. The Vestry to the North, similarly of coursed stone construction and formed with a parapet which conceals the mono-pitch roof behind which falls to an abutment gutter.
